Class Description

This course will introduce you to the Adafruit Circuit Playground Express, a wearable and easy to program microcontroller, based on the extremely popular Arduino platform.

It is intended for folks who have little to no electronics experience, who wish to integrate sensors and motion into projects. It uses existing code, to get students up to speed quickly, and give them a technical vocabulary that can allow them to interact with more experienced engineers and programmers.

Material Fee

The materials fee for this class is $35. This is separate from the ticket price and is to reimburse the instructor for any tools or materials used in this class. This will be paid once, directly to the instructor at the start of the first class meeting. This instructor accepts payments in cash or through Venmo.

Class Goals

  • Get familiar with the Circuit Playground Express and its sensors, LEDs, and other elements
  • Use it with real world projects
  • Work with the Arduino Integrated Development Environment (IDE) and its example programs
  • Learn some basic programming structures
