Julian Vaughn
Bassist
A dynamic lead bass player from Kansas City, bassist Julian Vaughn has made an international name for himself since coming onto the scene in 2010. As a bassist in the smooth jazz genre Vaughn plays a variety of styles from smooth, finesse and funk which he developed while playing in the church where his grandfather and father pastored.
Julian Vaughn has toured all over the U.S. and internationally in his 14 year career. Vaughn takes pride in being able to write and produce almost all of his music. “I want to be known as a great writer and producer just as much as I am an artist”. Vaughn has released a total of 8 albums along with 12 billboards #1s. Five himself and seven as a feature. In 2020 Vaughn was the #2 Artist of the year as well as the #2 and #17 on billboard’s songs of the year for Afro Calypso and Afternoon Delight.
His latest independent release titled “SOLO” in 2022 was a big hit with 3 singles off the album reaching top 5 on bilboard. Evidence that he continues to redefine the lead bassist role in the smooth jazz genre. Vaughn’s ninth album is anticipated to be releasd the summer of 2024.

Joe McBride
Keyboardist/Singer
Get ready for an unforgettable evening with keyboardist and vocalist Joe McBride, one of today’s most soulful and engaging performers. Born in Fulton, MO, McBride began playing piano at age four and was shaped by gospel, Motown, straight-ahead jazz, and ’70s R&B. Even after losing his sight as a teenager, his passion for music never wavered — leading him to study jazz at Webster University and the University of North Texas before becoming a star of the Dallas jazz scene.
Signed to Heads Up International, McBride burst onto the smooth jazz scene with his debut album Grace (1992), followed by favorites like A Gift for Tomorrow, Keys to Your Heart, and Texas Rhythm Club. His remake of Bobby Hebb’s “Sunny,” featuring Stanley Turrentine, became a Cape Town Jazz classic, and his originals like “Howzit in Dallas” and “Lone Star Boogie” remain fan favorites. McBride has toured worldwide, opened for Whitney Houston, the Yellowjackets, and Larry Carlton, and shared the stage and studio with legends including Grover Washington, Jr., Dave Koz, Rick Braun, and Jonathan Butler.
Known for his smooth vocals, dynamic keyboard work, and infectious energy, McBride delivers a show that blends jazz, soul, R&B, and pure joy — guaranteed to leave audiences inspired.

ABOUT THE NATIONAL MULTICULTURAL WESTERN HERITAGE MUSEUM
Founded in 2001, the Museum acknowledges the multicultural contributions of Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, European Americans, Asian and African Americans in the settlement of the American frontier. Works of artists and others who documented people and events of the time via journals, photographs, and other historical items are part of the museum's collection of overlooked materials that tell, often for the first time, our complete story. Through various educational programs (e.g., storytelling sessions, "Forgotten Cowboys Tour," cultural heritage workshops, historical reenactments, participatory learning, and hybrid programming) at the museum and in the community, the Museum shares our multicultural western heritage while instilling positive values of diversity, tolerance, hard-work, and determination. Visitors to the Museum and at our traveling exhibitions leave with an awareness that the American West came into being through the struggles and triumphs of racially and socio-economically diverse people.
