Arise! Equity in Action

Arise! Equity in Action

By YWCA West Central Michigan

Overview

Arise! is a luncheon that calls our community to stand together, take action, and advance equity, empowerment, and lasting change for all.

Join us for Arise!, our signature spring luncheon that brings the community together to advance equity and support survivors. This gathering creates space for learning, connection, and meaningful dialogue about the issues shaping our region and the collective work required to create lasting change.

What to Expect

This year’s theme is "Equity in Action" and will feature a panel of speakers who bring lived experience, leadership, and insight to the conversation about equity, safety, and community impact. Together, they will explore:

✨ How personal experience informs advocacy and leadership
✨ Strategies for advancing equity in workplaces, neighborhoods, and systems
✨ Barriers facing survivors and how communities can respond
✨ Realistic, meaningful ways to take action in daily life
✨ The role each of us plays in shaping a more just future

Arise! creates a shared space for reflection, truth-telling, and forward movement—grounded in the YWCA’s mission to eliminate racism, empower women and girls, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
