Getting Dark: Three One-Act Comdies: "Is He Sick?," "This Is My Spot!," and "The Stump" written by Daniel Lehman and directed by Wendy Butler featuring Amadeus Garcia Brown, Larry Crist, Kimberly Haile, Victor Howard, Heather Petersteiner and James Wright.

"Is He Sick?" is a parody that tells the story of a family celebrating the patriarch's birthday by trying to convince him he’s sick. Soon a doctor arrives to join in the effort. Is this all a bizarre prank? Is it a dream? Who else gets targeted?

"This Is My Spot" is a satirical play about a wealthy couple attempting to ignore two homeless men sitting near their table at an expensive boardwalk restaurant. This dark comedy juxtaposes the two lifestyles and the very different life-changing decisions they're forced to make.

In "The Stump" a tree scientist and a fashion store owner meet at a stump in the forest. Their initial irritation with each other develops into an unlikely attraction.

Daniel Lehman is a writer and a former librarian. He has written plays, novels and screenplays. Currently, he resides in Arcata, after living in a number of different places. Now he gets to hang out with redwoods, which makes him happy, at least some of the time. Two of his plays have been performed in EXIT Theatre's Short Play Festival.
