🧐 Are Humans the Problem?
Every day, we witness suffering, injustice, and destruction in the world.
But how much of this can truly be attributed to humans?
This Thursday at IQ Cafe, we will explore the question:
Are humans the root cause of the world’s problems, or is there a deeper issue?
- How do human nature and society contribute to the bad we see?
- Can some problems be blamed on systems, circumstances, or external forces instead?
- What does philosophy and ethics say about human responsibility and fault?
IQ Cafe is a space for open, respectful conversation.
Whether you’re new to philosophy or enjoy pondering deep questions, join us to explore the role humans play in the world’s troubles.
All are welcome! English and Japanese speakers alike!

What is IQ Cafe?
IQ Cafe is a place that wants to create a space for you to think deeply. We think it's a shame how many people go through life without reflecting on things that matter. It’s important to take the time to think about the difficult questions in life. It can be easy to live your life and just go through the motions.
The presentations at IQ Cafe are always bilingual because we want you to be able to practice Japanese and English! For the discussion time, there are tables with English and Japanese available. Let's practice language together!
We have Bilingual events every Thursday night at 8pm in Harajuku! We look forward to seeing you there!
