Announcing a special edition of Architecture on the Move, co-presented with the Greater Des Moines Public Art Foundation!

Enjoy a stroll through the Des Moines Riverwalk while taking in public art commissioned by the Greater Des Moines Public Art Foundation. Art highlights include A Monumental Journey by Kerry James Marshall, Expansion by Jun Kaneko, and the new Always Together mural by Ricardo Gonzalez. Architectural highlights include the Civic Center Historic District, City Beautiful Movement along the riverfront, the Riverwalk’s public buildings, and Cowles Commons. Attendees will gain a new appreciation of the interplay between architecture and public art.

Specific tour ticket required; regular Architecture on the Move ticket not valid unless space is available when tours depart.

Sign-in starts at 5:00 PM in the atrium of Capital Square. Tours take off promptly at 5:30 PM. Comfortable shoes and clothing are suggested.
