Welcome to the Archetype Arcade!
Come join us at 2205 York Rd or Online on October 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM (Eastern Time) for a day filled with fun and exploration of different roles in play and therapy
Archetypes embody universal human roles that can nurture identity development, resilience, and healing across the lifespan. This training explores how play therapists can draw upon archetypal figures—such as the hero, healer, shadow, and sage—to support children and adults in processing trauma, exploring strengths, and discovering meaning. Through experiential learning, participants will engage with symbolic play therapy interventions, including role-play, sand tray enactments, and creative storytelling, to guide clients through archetypal journeys that foster empowerment and integration..
Objectives:
- Identify archetypes in symbolic play therapy.
- Facilitate play therapy activities using archetypal themes.
- Support resilience through symbolic identity roles in play and therapy.
- Apply archetype work in trauma recovery during play and therapy.
- Recognize cultural meanings in archetypes and how this shows up in play and therapy.
- Use symbolic play for empowerment and healing.
