Archery RSO Instructor Training - Brewer
Overview
Archery RSO Instructor Training
Archery shooting and archery hunting are increasing in popularity. As we seek to better serve the public, we're increasing our team of trained volunteer instructors to be eligible to lead archery activities. This Archery RSO training will approve instructors to run archery programming as an approved RSO. We'll cover safety and risk management, shooting range requirements, basic shooting skills and how to run an archery event, workshop, or class, use of bows and crossbows, state equipment, and more.
Participants will leave the workshop with a better understanding of Maine's shooting sports program and how it relates to archery hunting, as well as how to plan and schedule an event. This training is available to all current hunter education instructors (firearms/ bow/ crossbow) and we encourage those who are not already safety instructors to join us as their first step in becoming one.
All equipment is provided- Prepare yourself for a fun and enjoyable experiemnce learning alongside your peers, with plenty of hand-on instruction.
