The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (or WCAG) established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) are shaping the laws in the US and around the world. So much so that WCAG has become the buzz word synonomous with legal accessibility.

But what does it mean to put WCAG into practice on your website, software or mobile application? How do the changes you make really impact people who live with a wide variety of disabilities?

WeCo's Accessibility Team, digital professionals who live with disabilities, are here to help.

We begin with cameos of users who live with the four disability classifications recognized by the US Department of Human Services. Our Accessibility Specialists then guide your staff, step-by-step, through the design requirements of the WCAG 2.1 A and AA Accessibility Guidelines, as they apply to people living with disabilities. (WeCo’s own additional standards are included.)

Your will be able to ask questions along the way and receive answers from people who live with, and understand the development needs of others who live with disabilities, making this an extremely powerful training.

You'll also receive WeCo's own Learning Guide on WCAG standards. An excellent digital desk reference you can refer to after the training.

Technical Level Notation

This course discusses WCAG criteria in depth and provides specific technique and code suggestions for accessible development. It is most useful for web and software development staff who will be creating/making changes to your electronic venues.
