Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training

By Mental Health Association in Delaware

Overview

Want to learn how to recognize and help someone experiencing thoughts of suicide? Register for our ASIST training!

The Mental Health Association in Delaware is offering a free in-person Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) at the Community Service Building (100 W. 10th Street, Wilmington, DE 19801) on April 24th to 25th. ASIST is a two-day in-person workshop featuring powerful audiovisuals, discussions, and simulations. During the workshop, you’ll learn how to recognize when someone may be thinking about suicide, and how to provide a skilled intervention and develop a safety plan with the person to connect them to further support. Please note, the training takes place from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm on each day and requires that participants attend both days in full duration. Registrations for these trainings are extremely limited and highly sought after. Please only sign up if you are absolutely certain that you are able to attend.

**Note: All cancellations must be done more than 72 hours prior to the start time. This will allow us time to fill your spot with someone from the waiting list.

**Note: CEUs are not offered, but participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
