Have you ever been to a drag show and thought about being on stage? You absolutely can be!

Aspiring and/or experienced drag queens, kings, things, gender ambiguous royalty, monsters all welcome!

Low Cringe Tolerance wants everyone to feel comfortable and confident expressing themselves, which we believe is the heart of drag. Come join us at a casual skillshare to learn about the rich history and culture of an art form the queer community has been practicing for decades.

All skill levels welcome, this is a space for learning from and teaching one another, discussing what drag means to us, and meeting other people either already in the drag scene, or looking to be a part of it!

Frequently asked questions

Is the venue accessible?

Yes! We will be on the first floor of Spontaneous Celebrations, which is a fully accessible venue. We will not be playing loud music or have any flashing lights.

What will we learn?

That depends! I, Ladyboy George, will be running the event and am happy to share what I know. We hope to start having these skillshares on a semi regular basis, so we would love to know what you all want to learn! We hope to be able to bring people with specialized knowledge in in the future.

How much does this cost?

We want drag to be accessible to all. Thus, we will not be turning anyone away for lack of funds. To cover the cost of the venue however, if it is financially accessible for you we have a suggested donation of $10. You can donate more or less as you wish or are able to!

What do I need to bring?

Nothing but yourself! If you want to just discuss drag; what it is, how to get into it, what intrigues you about it, you don't have to bring anything at all. But you are also welcome to bring anything you wish to work on or get feedback on! Wigs, costumes, makeup, or shoes for dancing/movement.

WE ARE LOW CRINGE TOLERANCE!!! We're a dynamic duo of drag performers (Shean King and Ladyboy George) who are totally normal and sane about the things we like a normal amount.

Our mission is to bring the world more passionate, nerdy, and all around CRINGEY drag, to provide a stage for performers to express their truest selves, and to give our audience a weird, welcoming, and totally unforgettable drag experience! Kill the part of you that cringes, not the part that is cringe!
