Anti-Racism Organizing in the Suburbs: Visioning-Networking-Skill Building
Event Information
Description
Please join us at a one day convening of anti-racist organizers, activists, leaders, and trainers working in the suburbs to strengthen and deepen the movement for racial justice.
Come gather with 50-80 active and emerging leaders to connect, share resources, and learn vital information about how to organize for meaningful change locally and statewide.
The day will feature a morning keynote on creating successful campaigns targeting decision-makers, free lunch, a panel of activists representing active campaigns for affordable housing, criminal law reform and ending mass incarceration, and multiple breakout workshop offerings for skill sharing, organizing and networking.
The Anti-Racism Organizing in the Suburbs Working Group (AROS) is a joint project of Community Change, Inc (CCI) and the Winchester Multicultural Network (WMCN) to create greater capacity for movement building, greater alignment for joint campaigns, and the sharing of training resources for effecting systemic change in suburban communities.
Please pass on this invitation to any other groups and active leaders you are aware of or let us know their contact information by emailing us at johnnylapham39@gmail.com
