Angle Studies with Photographer Erick Hercules
Overview
This class explores how intentional angles in photography and film can transform an ordinary frame into a dynamic, surreal experience. Drawing from Erick Hercules’ Angle Studies technique as well as compositional rules, students will learn how perspective can create tension, movement, and emotional depth within a composition.
We’ll analyze how Erick has used angles in campaigns for major brands to shift perception and spark audience engagement, then apply those same principles through hands-on exercises, and in-camera experimentation. By the end, students will not only understand the theory behind angled compositions—they’ll see space the way Erick does: as a playground for narrative, balance, and controlled disruption.
Please Note: This is a don't miss in-person event that is also livestreamed on the Adorama YouTube channel.
