Overview
19th Annual MLK Jr. Day Event Celebration of Unity
Join us in person for the 19th Annual MLK Jr. Day Event — a special day dedicated to unity and community. Let’s come together to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with inspiring stories, music, and activities that uplift our spirit. It’s all about connecting, celebrating, and making a positive impact.
This year’s theme: “United We Stand - Divided We Fall: Strength in Our Shared Faith and Common Humanity. ”
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s message about unity focuses on his dream of a world where people overcome division through love, service, and mutual respect, emphasizing that unity isn’t passive but requires active work to achieve a “more perfect Union.”
Let us ensure his legacy lives on through collective action for a better future.
We honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of unity by committing ourselves to live, learn, and serve together. Grounded in our shared humanity, we embrace collective action so that his enduring legacy of love, justice, and solidarity continues to lead us toward a more unified future. Guided by his example, this celebration reflects our theme,
“United We Stand — Divided We Fall." Dr. King’s words still call us to action: “We must learn to live together as brothers and sisters or perish together as fools.”
May we answer that call—not only today, but every day.
