Azure is a comprehensive cloud platform which provides services to quickly build scalable solutions. In this hands-on course, we will build an end-to-end survey application in Azure. We will start by creating the web application front end to collect survey input. We will discuss the different options we have in Azure from PaaS based web applications to serverless Azure Functions. After the front-end is built, we will use Event Hubs to handle all the event handling of messages. Using Azure Stream Analytics, we will be able to create stream-based analytics on the survey data. In addition to stream-based analytics, we will be using Cognitive Services to do sentiment detection on the survey comment data to enrich the dataset. The enriched data set will be persisted into Azure Data Lake Storage.

This will be a hands-on lab, so please bring your laptop. If you do not have access to an Azure subscription to provision the services we are going to use, that is no problem!
