An UNSCRIPTED Evening with Scott Pelley

About this Event

We are thrilled to host an unscripted evening with journalist and national bestselling author Scott Pelley on Tuesday, October 29th at Bush Auditorium at Rollins College! Join us as he shares stories of the many people he’s interviewed and the places he’s been as a CBS News Anchor and 60 Minutes journalist. He will be signing his book, Truth Worth Telling: A Reporter’s Search for Meaning in the Stories of Our Times, after the presentation.

About the book: Truth Worth Telling introduces us to unforgettable people who discovered the meaning of their lives in the historic events of our times. Truth Worth Telling offers a collection of inspiring tales that reminds us of the importance of values in uncertain times. For readers who believe that values matter and that truth is worth telling, Pelley writes, “I have written this book for you.”

About the author: Scott Pelley has been a reporter and photographer more than forty-five years. He is best known for his 20 years (and counting) on the CBS News magazine 60 Minutes and as anchor and managing editor of the CBS Evening News (2011-2017). Pelley's work has been recognized with three duPont-Columbia Awards, three Peabody Awards, and thirty-seven national Emmy Awards bestowed by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Pelley is the most awarded correspondent in the fifty-one-year history of 60 Minutes.

About the series: UNSCRIPTED is a fun, frank speaker series featuring thought leaders, tastemakers, and celebrated cultural voices, brought to you by Writer's Block Bookstore in partnership with the Orlando Sentinel.
