Klasey Consulting is partnering with Lincoln Families to bring this training An Overview of Substance Use Prevention to Enhance Outcomes to Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras providers.Given that many system-involved and at-risk youth and young adults use substances, it’s important for social service providers to understand substance use trends with minors and young adults. This training will provide an overview of substance use prevention strategies. Prevention is key to trying to lower the number of youth and young adults who misuse substances.

Learning objectives

1. Participants will be able to identify at least 1 risk factor for substance use

2. Participants will be able to identify at least 1 protective factor for substance use
