An Outsider's Guide to the Florida Panhandle is a four-part educational lecture series for those who may be new to conditions in the region. Please note the topic for each date is different:
September 2 - "Where do I Live?" Covering information about the climate and conditions in the Florida panhandle, which conditions affect the plants that live there, and information on local wildlife.
September 9 - "Lawn Care" For those who wish to grow a turfgrass lawn, including information on local turfgrass varieties, watering, mowing, fertilizing, and establishing a lawn, as well as weed control in turfgrass.
September 16 - "Landscape Care" This class will go over the care of landscape plants such as trees and shrubs, with sections on installing plants, mulching, irrigation, pruning, fertilization, and weed control in landscape beds.
September 30 - "Pest and Disease Control" Information on common insect pests and diseases on lawns and landscape plants and how to control them.
