About this Event

Overview

This official Urban Sketchers course is perfect for a beginner or for someone looking to reinforce the basic concepts of urban sketching. Running from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon, it is designed to work around your work week schedule, with a single weekend packed with lots of learning.

During this course we will build observational and drawing skills required for on-location sketching. We will study strategies for drawing people, architecture and everyday objects and will learn about value studies, color mixing theory and perspective.

The workshop runs from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. First, we will learn and practice our skills in-studio and then we will pull all we learnt together to sketch on location.
