About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Join us online on Monday, 2nd June 2025 at 6:00 PM for a deep dive into a topic that has everyone talking following the recent release of Netflix’s Adolescence .

With most children aged 6–15 aware of controversial figures like Andrew Tate, and nearly a quarter of 13–15-year-old boys holding a positive view of him, it’s essential for those working with young people to understand the online worlds influencing their beliefs and behaviours.

This two-hour workshop will be delivered by Bal Kaur Howard Training and will explore the world of incels, misogyny, and looksmaxxing. It will provide a platform to discuss and understand the different aspects of the manosphere, including the controversial topics that surround it.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Define what an incel is and understand the broader incel culture.
  • Recognize how misogyny and incel beliefs can influence young people.
  • Understand key language, lexicon, and memes used online.
  • Identify safeguarding concerns and appropriate referral pathways.

Held as part of Child Safety Week, this important online event is designed specifically for coaches, club welfare officers, safeguarding leads, fitness providers, and sports leaders who work or volunteer with children and young people in sport settings.

Don't miss this opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations and gain a deeper understanding of these complex issues.

Cost: FREE – This opportunity is normally £30 per person, but it's fully subsidised for you. We kindly ask that you prioritise attending if you sign up.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at SWO@londonsport.org.
