Michael Mann, CPP, PSP has served as the Manager, Security for Fellowship Bible Church for 10 years. Michael’s career in physical protection started early with service in the United States Marine Corps, Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team (FAST Company). After honorably serving in the Marine Corps, Michael attended college in Middle Tennessee and then started a 12-year career in law enforcement with the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department serving in uniformed services, Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), and criminal intelligence. Shortly after 9/11, Michael returned to protecting government facilities as an SRT commander for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Federal Protective Forces, and then moved into the corporate security field designing and managing physical protection programs for utilities, nuclear fuel fabrication and chemical facilities, data centers, production facilities, and at-risk and high-net worth individuals. Michael started developing physical security programs for Christian schools following the attack on Sandy Hook Elementary, and then transitioned to protecting churches, to include Fellowship Bible Church in 2015, where he manages a comprehensive physical security program that deploys close to 100 security volunteers trained in behavior threat detection.
Michael’s training and certification in conducting threat assessments and behavioral analysis began while studying in Israel, and then continued to develop while earning advanced certificates and degrees in security, risk, and threat assessment. Michael is ASIS board certified in Security Management and Physical Security, and he’s a part-time educator/instructor for a large not for profit university.
