Ronnie C. Chan is the Honorary Chair of Hang Lung Group and Hang Lung Properties, one of Hong Kong’s leading real estate companies with landmark developments across mainland China.Renowned globally for his business acumen, Mr. Chan is equally respected for his philanthropy and cultural vision. Through the Morningside Foundation, Mr. Chan has supported world-class universities including Harvard, MIT, USC, and UMass, and funded programs that have benefited thousands of students.He has also played a vital role in preserving China’s cultural treasures, including the restoration of historic sites in the Forbidden City.Internationally, Mr. Chan has served as Chair Emeritus of Asia Society and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Honored with awards such as the Grand Bauhinia Medal and the Dwight D. Eisenhower Global Leadership Award, he is celebrated for bridging East and West and for his lifelong dedication to education, culture, and global understanding.


Moderator

Dorinda “Dinda” Elliott is Executive Director of the Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies and the Harvard China Fund at Harvard University.

Prior to Harvard, Dinda spent 15 years in East Asia as a journalist with Newsweek and Asiaweek, before becoming Global Affairs Editor at Conde Nast Traveler. She was then appointed Editorial and Communications Director at the Paulson Institute, where she spearheaded the strategic promotion of the Institute’s China-facing initiatives. Most recently, she was Senior Vice President at the China Institute in New York, the oldest bicultural, non-profit organization in the U.S. to focus exclusively on China, where she directed strategy and programing.
