About this event

Community • Other

Join us for a special veteran panel held in conjunction with Vietnam Experience: 50th Anniversary of the End of the War (on view Sept. 27-Dec. 20, 2025 at Louisiana's Old State Capitol).

This program brings together veterans to share their personal stories, challenges, and reflections, offering the younger generation a chance to hear firsthand what it means to serve. The panel will explore the human side of military service, beyond textbooks and headlines, through lived experiences, resilience, and lessons that remain relevant today.

Come listen, learn, and connect with those who served, as we honor their voices and preserve their history for generations to come. Veteran panelists are Colonel Strickland, Sarah Anderson, Richard O'Brien, Senator Franklin Foil, and Johnny Joubert.

Doors open: 4:30 pm
Panel Program: 5-6pm
