An Evening with The Galahad Complex and Haskell Kimball
Overview
The Galahad Complex is a performer who has toured the U.S. and U.K. for the last 27 years but under the guise of 'Thee Duke of Dark' but also served as 60's pop star Bobby Vee from 1996-2002 as his P.A. but when Mr. Velline (Vee), needed his assistance 'Galahad' would always be proud to do anything he asked "Bob was as fine a man as he was a performer" and just as his other former employer Bob Dylan Said "I learned a lot about the music business from Bobby Vee".A semi staple in the Minnesota scene as he both performed and staged events at the Legendary First Avenue Concert Venue such as the annual 'England Swings' and Paul McCartney Tribute 'Macca', he also serve(s) as road Manager to Minnesota local Rock Royalty 'The Melismatics'. He released his first CD in 2019 'The Devil's Been Here' and the single 'Dreams Don't Come True' received extensive airplay in the UK on several independant stations. Like many, the Covid lockdown slowed his career and during that period his mother fell ill and he put his musical pursuits aside to tend to her needs and only performed in the UK for a handful of shows in 2022 and 2023. Sadly his mother went to Jesus on April 18th, 2025 and this will be his first 'Official' show in America since 2/21/20 and he is now working on his sophmore follow up in hopes of a 2026 release. He has had the great fortune of supporting the following acts: The Long Blondes, The Pipettes, Billy Lunn (The Subways), El Vez and The Rembrandts.
Haskell Kimball is a Clarkesville, TN musician who's been writing and perfoming professionally since November of 2017 when he made his debut in London, England while filling in for 'Thee Duke of Dark' whom he was acting as stage tech when 'Duke' fell ill and he with Duke's blessing performed the last show of the tour and based on that performance, he realized he was better on the stage than behind it and his career was then born. His music is a hybrid of Traditional Country & Western and Rockabilly music, which he's coined as 'Thrillbilly'. You'll find hints of Merle Haggard and Vince Gill as well as Eddie Cochran and Dwight Yokum in his presentation. Lately, he's been back in the UK touring in 2018, 2022/23 and is set to begin his fourth and Longest tour of the UK (and Northern Ireland) on Nov. 24th of 2025 which lasts until his final show in London on Jan. 6th, 2026. The past 8 years have found him treking around the USA supporting acts such 'Big Sandy & The Fly Rite Boys', 'The Cactus Blossoms', 'Robert Gordon' and England's 'Sister Suzie'. Earlier this year (2025), he signed his first recording contract and his debut album 'Welcome to the Thrill...Billy' is set for a mid December release in person in the UK and online both in the UK and USA on his Haskell Kimbal website, http://www.haskellkimbal.com on all the usual media outlets. Other merchandise will also be made available there as well. 2026 is setting up to be a huge year with many more shows, media and a return UK tour in support of current and several 'legendary' stars, which may work it's way to the states and beyond. All rise for The "Thrillbilly Kid"!
