A gifted violinist and dynamic vocalist, Thomas blends cinematic folk with Americana, using strings to enhance her heartfelt narratives. She has an upcoming release, Tumble Home and has released three critically acclaimed albums—two solo records, an EP, and one with her band, Molly Thomas and The Rare Birds. As an in-demand side musician, she has worked with artists like Todd Snider, Will Kimbrough, Matthew Ryan, and Guster, and has performed on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and SXSW, as well as at iconic venues like The Ryman Auditorium and Irving Plaza. Her violin playing has been featured in films such as Ash Wednesday, Good Day For It, and Monika and she aspires to compose for film in the future.
