An Evening with Friends and Authors

The Friends of the Anoka County Library are delighted to announce our First Annual Gala, a celebration of local Minnesota authors and a fundraiser in support of a treasured community resource.

Please join us for an elegant evening of literary inspiration, as featured authors share insights into their latest works and reflect on the profound impact libraries have had on their lives and careers.

Event Schedule:

5:00 PM – Social Hour
Guests are invited to enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a drink while browsing our silent auction, raffle items, bookstore, and author signing tables.
6:15 PM – Dinner Service
A seated dinner will be served in an elegant setting.
7:15 PM – Author Presentations
Our spotlight authors will take the stage to share stories, inspirations, and their deep connection to libraries.

Silent Auction Details:
The auction will be conducted via paper bidding, offering a relaxed and accessible experience for all attendees. Items will be grouped by area with staggered closing times. Winning bidders will be notified during the dinner hour by Friends volunteers.

Suggested Attire:
Business casual to formal attire is encouraged for this celebratory evening.
