Join us on Sat, Dec 7, for a book reading, discussion, and book signing with acclaimed author Dani Shapiro. Her best seller Inheritance, a captivating nonfiction genealogical mystery, was recently optioned for a movie by Killer Films.

Confronted by the results of her DNA test, Shapiro tells with love and grace the story of the search for her biological father while simultaneously exploring the question: “Is who we are the same as who we believe ourselves to be?”

Shapiro is the author of the memoirs Hourglass, Still Writing, Devotion, and Slow Motion and five novels including Black & White and Family History. Her short fiction, essays, and journalistic pieces have appeared in The New Yorker, Granta, Tin House, One Story, Elle, Vogue, O, The Oprah Magazine, The New York Times Book Review, the op-ed pages of the New York Times, and many other publications.
