An Evening with Christine Guter

Christine Guter brings a rare combination of lyrical artistry, deep musical insight, and educational passion. As Director of Vocal Jazz at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach, she leads the award-winning ensemble Pacific Standard Time. With a voice described as “full, rich … of great range and versatility,” she is equally at home performing on concert stages as she is in studio sessions.

Her performance résumé is nothing short of spectacular: she has worked alongside legends such as Bobby McFerrin, Joe Williams, Diane Schuur and Maynard Ferguson. She has also lent her voice to dozens of major Hollywood film-soundtracks including Star Wars: Rogue One, Men in Black 3, Spiderman 3 and Despicable Me 2.

The Idaho Jazz Education Endowment supports tomorrow’s jazz artists through scholarships, mentorship and performance opportunities.

With the purchase of a ticket, Sapphire guests are eligible for The Riverside Hotel's "Sapphire Getaway" for $179 + tax. This rate is available for the night of the Sapphire Room show and includes a standard hotel room (double occupancy) and breakfast for two the following morning. To reserve, please call the Riverside Hotel front desk at 208-343-1871. The Sapphire Getaway rate is subject to availability and blackout dates. It will not be available for every show.
