This event is organized in honor of a fact-finding mission by a delegation from Germany’s universities of applied sciences (UAS).

With their focus on application-oriented research and teaching, Germany’s more than 200 universities of applied sciences (UAS) are an important part of the German higher education and research landscape. Their strengths include modern teaching and learning conditions. They are also well-known for their cooperation with industry partners and therefore regarded as a driving force for regional development and innovation.

With this fact-finding mission, the DAAD offers representatives of the German HAW the opportunity to get to know the Canadian and American higher education systems as well as potential partners from both academia and industry. The trip is part of the DAAD HAW.International program and will take participants to Toronto, Detroit and New York.

The thirteen universities represented on the fact-finding mission cover a broad profile of universities of applied sciences and are interested in student and staff exchanges, joint study programs – face-to-face or virtual – as well as research or practical cooperation.
