ABOUT THE MUSIC OF YOGA

Kirtan is a spiritual practice with five parts that is found in the path of Bhakti Yoga. One of the parts is the chanting of Sanskrit healing and empowerment mantras and the singing of devotional songs called bhajans. In other words, kirtan is a musically guided meditation practice. Practicing this yoga calms the mind, relaxes the body and energizes the Spirit.Come dive into the depths of your own heart in this safe, supportive environment. No previous yoga, meditation or singing experience is necessary to participate.

Kirtan is led by Dayakar Das, a practitioner of 31 years, who has been teaching meditation since 1999.
