Experience an intimate evening of music with guitarist, bandleader, and composer George Grydkovets and vocalist, composer, and bandleader Chenxi Pan.
From jazz standards to American songs of the 1920s–1950s, alongside their own original compositions, this performance offers a unique blend of historical and contemporary sounds.
George Grydkovets, originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, has been performing professionally since his youth. He has played with top Ukrainian jazz musicians, including Dennis Adu, and in New York has collaborated with Ari Hoenig, Steve Cardenas, Frank Perowsky, and Sam Yahel. Venues include Nublu, Stone, as well as the Clifford Brown and Bern jazz festivals. His debut album with the Kyiv Trio, Rise, was released in 2022 on Shifting Paradigm Records. Listen here.
Chenxi Pan, originally from China, has developed a distinctive musical voice that blends improvisation, contemporary ensemble work, and expressive original compositions since moving to the U.S. in 2021. Chenxi debuted as a bandleader at the acclaimed venue The Stone NYC in 2024 and is currently working on her first album, This Very Moment, featuring a sextet exploring the expressive potential of the human voice.
