Join the RevelEleven community for a serene summer evening exploring two neighboring gardens tucked high above the Orting Valley near Puyallup.
We’ll begin our evening in the peaceful half-acre garden of Erica Sage—an enchanting, mature Northwest sanctuary where nature’s textures and colors take center stage. Enter through a charming gate beside a little library and follow winding flagstone paths through towering rhododendrons, cherry trees, magnolias, and Japanese maples. A cascading waterfall flows into a koi pond, inviting quiet reflection, while benches and tucked-away sculptures offer moments of pause in this park-like setting—with stunning views of Mt. Rainier.
Then, just a short stroll away, we’ll make our way to Camille Paulsen's lush, multi-style garden perched on a ridge above the valley. Her ever-evolving landscape mixes Northwest spirit with Asian influences and whimsical touches. Explore a front yard reborn from the loss of a beloved Doug fir, now thriving with yuccas, sedums, dwarf conifers, a pond, and a welcoming pergola. Wander through the shade garden marked by a handcrafted cedar Torii gate, past a woodland pond, greenhouse, vegetable and flower beds, and a tropical corner. Don’t miss the mini-stumpery near the driveway and the winding stone paths that tie together each unique garden “room.”
We’ll wrap up our garden stroll at Camille’s with heavy appetizers, bubbles, and non-alcoholic refreshments.
Bring a friend, your mom, your sister—or simply come solo and savor the beauty of summer in bloom.
