An Evening at the Preserve: Helping the Unhoused

(Rain Date: June 21st) Come join us for an evening outside at the Garden City Bird Sanctuary!

Long Island Coalition for the Homeless (LICH) and Garden City Bird Sanctuary (GCBS) are partnering for this joint fundraiser to bring awareness to the effects of homelessness in our community. There will be speakers from both LICH and GCBS, and you'll learn about the organizations, the great work they do, and ways to get involved. This event is a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness, and to also support a community nature preserve.

There will be the opportunity for a picnic, an optional guided nature walk, speakers, and the showing of a documentary. (See the Agenda for more information.) Seating is limited. If possible, bring your own chair / blanket.

All funds raised go to support LICH and GCBS.

Reserve your space now or pay at the door. (Space is limited. Walk-ins are welcome, but reserving your space now guarantees your spot.)

Please consider bringing a donation of non-perishable food to help support the LICH pantry.

The goal of LICH is to end homelessness on Long Island through partnerships, policy, education, and direct assistance to those most in need. The mission of GCBS is to manage protected greenspace for environmental stewardship, research, education, and community services programs.

LICH and GCBS are certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
