Welcome to An Alternative Perspective: Online Networking!
We are delighted to bring you our virtual networking experience where we will discussing Autism,ADHD,Dyslexia,Dyscalculia,Dyspraxia, Tourette's Syndrome and all things neurodiversity in the spheres of employment, business, media and more.
Join us from wherever you are in the world for an evening of networking, learning and reflection.
You will have the opportuinity to connect with each other in break out spaces, before hearing from our incredible speakers who will be sharing their experiences with us during the presentation and Q&A phase.
Joining us will be:
Lauren Green - Lauren is currently completing her Master of Research (MRes) in Psychology at the University of Bath and is a co-founder of Employment Devices for Enhancing Neurodiversity (EDEN). Her current masters research looks at substance use and autism, exploring the reasons why autistic adults engage in substance use behaviour. At An Alternative Perspective, Lauren will share her own neurodiversity journey, insights from her personal experiences and her current MRes research.
Sam Chown Ahern - Sam is a visual artist working in the mediums of film, illustration, photography, and audio. Sam has had work shown at Camden Arts Centre and was a member of The Barbican Young Visual Arts Group. In 2018, Sam co-presented the Channel 4 documentary “Are You Autistic?” alongside Georgia Harper. Sam is a member of both Stims Collective and the Neurocultures Collective who directed “The Stimming Pool”.
Olivia Williamson - Olivia is an actor and singer who has performed in a variety of things such as Pantomimes, musicals and TV. In her spare time she loves to read and spend quality time with her loved ones. She became interested in neurodiversity after going to therapy for years for feeling “different”. Olivia was diagnosed with combined ADHD a couple of years ago and in true ADHDer fashion it became her hyperfixation. She’s researched, read, created content and now raises awareness about ADHD.
Lauren Wyatt- A neurodiversity advocate and member of the National Neurodiversity Youth Council. Lauren is passionate about raising awareness of Tourette’s through her content on Tik Tok and featured in the Channel 5 documentary The Teacher with Tourette’s. Outside of her advocacy work, Lauren also works as a student support assistant at an SEN school.
