On January the 11th, at 3:00 PM, Mr. Wade Davis will present a performance of Baroque cello music. This music of the 17th and 18th centuries would the music heard throughout Europe during the time of the Salzburger’s Exile and the time of this congregation’s formation at Ebenezer. What a wonderful chance to bring time period music to life with the wonderful acoustics in this historic church.
A native of South Carolina, Wade Davis holds a master’s degree in cello performance from the Peabody Conservatory and has become one of the leading interpreters of Baroque cello in the United States. Based in Baltimore, he performs regularly with the prestigious Smithsonian Chamber Music Society and appears with early-music ensembles and festival orchestras nationwide. Known for his rich tone, stylistic authenticity, and engaging stage presence, Wade brings the music of the 17th and 18th centuries to life with exceptional artistry.
