About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

The Solebury Township Historical Society presents an afternoon at the Samuel Eastburn farm. This historical property was the homestead to the Eastburn family purchased in 1736 containing 250 acres of land near the center of Solebury Township. A blacksmith by trade, Samuel Eastburn cleared the land for farming and constructed a rough log homestead “on high ground”. Jeff Marshall will provide information on the old barn and the family homestead house. STHS will provide food and refreshments at the barn picnic. Come and learn history while enjoying this beautiful property thanks to the owner, Gerry Merriam.
