Jason Allen King is a comedian, writer, actor, filmmaker, and birdwatcher from Charlotte, NC. Drawing on his personal experiences, King delivers a unique and sharp perspective on everyday life, with a dash of self-deprecation.
Fresh off his Dry Bar Comedy Special “Nobody’s Emergency Contact,” he’s back on tour, having opened for comedy greats like Josh Blue, Ryan Hamilton, Fortune Feimster, and Josh Wolf. Winner of the 2025 NC'S Funniest, Jason has also been voted Best Charlotte Comedian by Queen City Nerve, twice voted Charlotte’s Favorite Comedian by Elevate Magazine, and featured in It’s A Southern Thing’s “15 Southern Comics to Watch,” King continues to captivate audiences nationwide.
As the Host and Producer of The Comedy Zone Podcast, he interviews top comedians while writing and performing sketches. He also stars in the video series “George & Monty,” which screened at the L.A. Comedy Shorts Festival. King’s film credits include award-winning projects like “Pink” (Amazon Prime) and “Little Package” (YouTube). As a writer/producer, he has contributed to feature films and national campaigns for brands like NASCAR and Alzheimer’s Association.
