About this event

Experience a captivating evening of global jazz with Carolina Calvache Trio. Join us for a stunning live performance led by acclaimed Colombian pianist and composer Carolina Calvache, whose music seamlessly weaves together jazz, classical, and Latin American folk influences. From her roots in Cali to New York City and now the vibrant Bay Area, Calvache brings a global voice to contemporary jazz, grounded in emotional depth and technical brilliance. Her celebrated discography includes Sotareño and Vida Profunda (Sunnyside, 2020), and she has performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including the Kennedy Center and Jazz at Lincoln Center.

She will be joined by two outstanding musicians:

Peter Slavov, a world-class double bassist and composer who has performed in over 40 countries, Peter has worked with legends such as Joe Lovano, Quincy Jones, and Danilo Pérez, bringing both experience and expressive range to the stage.

Ronen Itzik, a versatile and dynamic drummer originally from Jerusalem, Ronen has appeared at top venues like the Village Vanguard and Carnegie Hall, and has collaborated with jazz greats like Lee Konitz, Roy Hargrove, and Gary Burton.
