In a world flooded with headlines of struggle and erasure, we can uplift our real, lived moments of affirmation, connection, healing, and solidarity. Join the Chicago Playback Theatre Ensemble for an evening of storytelling and improvisational theatre that centers and celebrates your true stories of queer joy—shared by the audience, brought to life on stage. Because in times like these, joy is resistance.
Audience members are invited to share personal moments, which actors will “play back” through improv and music. Sharing is encouraged but entirely voluntary. Whether you tell a story or simply listen, all are welcome.
Admission: $10-$25 sliding scale
- Leader: $25 (I have the capacity to pay a little more for my ticket so that someone with less financial capacity can purchase a discounted ticket.)
- Standard: $17 (I have the capacity to purchase a ticket at the standard price.)
- Access: $10 (A discounted ticket is what I can afford today.)
