The inaugural Artificial Intelligence (AI) Workshop NYC will be held on July 20, 2025, bringing together innovators, researchers, and enthusiasts for a transformative day of learning and collaboration.
Set in the heart of Midtown East, Manhattan, in an iconic art deco style, the Cornell ILR School NYC (formerly the General Electric Building), this workshop will offer a dynamic mix of keynote presentations, round tables, mentor match, a mini-hackathon, live demonstrations, and interactive networking, with a forward looking towards the current advancement and future of AI. This full-day workshop is co-organized by the American Statistical Association's New York City (NYC) Chapter and AI4Purpose.
Attendees will explore topics such as generative AI, agentic AI, machine learning, deep learning, ethics, and responsible deployment practices. The event will cater to all experience levels, with beginner-friendly workshops running alongside advanced technical labs.
Participants will have the opportunity to connect with leading voices from various career sectors to foster meaningful dialogue and cross-disciplinary collaboration. A highlight of the day will be a mini-hackathon in digital health, where emerging AI solutions will be presented to address real-world challenges in fields like statistics, data science, fintech, healthcare, manufacturing, ethics, etc.
