Event description

Description

ABSTRACT:

Amazon SageMaker is a new, fully-managed AWS service that enables developers and data scientists to quickly and easily build, train, and deploy machine learning models at any scale. This session will include a presentation and a hands-on workshop. First, participants will learn about the main components of SageMaker: Notebooks, Training, Hosting, and Built-in Algorithms. Next, in the interactive portion of the workshop, participants will learn how to get up and running on SageMaker by creating a notebook instance and working through example notebooks. These notebooks will show participants how they can use the platform to munge and preprocess data, how they can take advantage of SageMaker's distributed, managed training, and how they can easily deploy trained models to production-ready endpoints.

PREREQUISITES/PRE-WORK:

BEFORE attending the workshop, please review the Prerequisites at the following link and complete any actions that are required: https://github.com/awslabs/amazon-sagemaker-workshop. In connection with this, be sure to review the AWS Command Line Interface prerequisite section and complete the AWS Cloud9 setup instructions in addition to the other prerequisites.

We will provide all workshop partcipants (who provide their 12-digit AWS account ID as part of the on-line registration process) with $50 in AWS credits, designed to cover the cost of AWS services utilized during the workshop.
