Amateur Chess Tournament

ChessPalace hosts this monthly Amateur Tournament at a casual and welcoming venue for beginners. Players experience over-the-board chess and playing someone in person! There will be about 5 rounds starting at 12 pm to 5 pm.

Tournament rules will include playing with the touch move/touch capture rule, sportsmanship, and using a clock along with the intensity and pressure that comes with competition. Scores matter in a tournament!

Chess medals are awarded for winning more than half of your assigned games.
