Amahl and the Night Visitors, Les Misérables, and La Bohème
Overview
Together, let’s inspire change—
one youth, one concert, one community at a time!
This production seeks to champion social-emotional wellness for youth while supporting nonprofits that serve this vulnerable population. Scenes and arias from three distinct operas tell stories that inspire hope and compassion:
- Carlo Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors reveals how a child’s innocent gift of love paves the way for miracles.
- Victor Hugo’s Les Misérables is a tale of broken chains and unbroken spirits, showing how love and mercy shine amid the shadows of injustice.
- Puccini’s La Bohème portrays the poignant struggles of young artists in Paris, whose dreams, friendships, and loves are tested by poverty and tragedy.
TThis concert not only launches the Art for Social Change Fund and uplifts nonprofits that transform lives in Silicon Valley, but also unites talented young local performers with distinguished national artists on one stage. Three acclaimed opera singers from Philadelphia, Chicago, Fresno, and Sacramento collaborated with twenty Bay Area performers to bring this vision to life.
On this special night, the stage will sparkle, voices will rise together, and every beat will bring us closer to a brighter tomorrow. We invite audiences, including those who may be new to classical music—to experience the exquisite beauty of opera while supporting nonprofits that make lasting change in our community. Be the change you wish to see in the world. Join us!
