Altar Building Workshop
Join us for allgo's annual Altar Building Workshop where we will come together to honor our ancestors - blood, land or spirit - through the sacred art of altar building for Day of the Dead. In this interactive gathering, we invite participants to explore how we move with our grief, healing, and communal care.
Together, we’ll reflect on the significance of altars as vessels of memory and love —honoring those who have passed while connecting to the cultural traditions of Día de los Muertos and Ancestral Connection and Rememberance from different cultures. Guided by our facilitators, you’ll learn to create personal altars that embod your sacred ancestral connection. We will share memories, reflections, and offerings that celebrate life and ancestral veneration. Participants are welcome to bring photos, mementos, or items for their ofrenda/altar and will receive marigolds and roses to bring home for their own altar.
This is a free event and light snacks will be provided.
