Join the Almy Pond Watershed Protectors for a workshop intended to gather the community near Almy Pond, and collect feedback on effective natural stormwater management solutions to restore the Pond’s water quality.

Thanks to the support of the 11th Hour Racing’s grant program, Spouting Rock Beach Association Foundation, and the Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England, the Land Trust has secured funding to explore effective natural stormwater management solutions to restore the Pond’s water quality. Building on previous work of the Watershed Protectors and the City’s Department of Utilities, this effort will produce designs aimed at treating and filtering priority sources of stormwater runoff that carry pollutants to the Pond. Improving the wetland’s ability to absorb the stormwater will reduce the flow of pollutants into the pond.
