All About The Apples | Cider Tasting With Bushel+Peck

By Bristol Cider Club

Overview

Learn about different apple varietals, taste fruit fresh from the orchard, then sample ciders made from each apple.

November’s Cider Circle is our final Meet the Maker of the year, and it’s going to be a taste sensation...

Heading on down from Gloucestershire, Bushel+Peck’s David Lindgren is taking us right to the core of cidermaking – the apples! We’ll learn about different apple varietals, taste fruit fresh from the orchard, then sample ciders made from each apple, including (of course!) some of David's own. Expect a range of apple varietals and cider styles, including:

  • Foxwhelp
  • Tremlett's Bitter
  • Stoke Red
  • Kingston Black
  • A bittersweet blend
  • An 'any apple' blend

Bushel+Peck make cider and perry from unsprayed apples and pears gathered from traditional orchards across Gloucestershire and the surrounding area. They also plan, plant, and maintain orchards and woodland, creating new habitats for wildlife and new places for people to gather, work, and benefit from the land.
