Alien Probe?!
Interstellar Visitors: The Halloween Evidence Special
Is an alien probe passing through the solar system? What does the data actually say?

LIMITED TIME DISCOUNT CODES:
ECLIPSE2020% off Single-Night tickets only. Limited to 20!
SPACE2525% off Two-Night Pass only. Limited to 15!

Across two 75 minute evenings we test the headline, “Is 3I/ATLAS an alien spacecraft?” You will get the background needed to spot an interstellar object, then see how scientists test claims with images, spectra, and orbital dynamics. We will compare 1I/ʻOumuamua’s odd non-gravitational behavior, 2I/Borisov’s very comet-like activity, and what early 3I/ATLAS observations actually imply.

We will also visit SETI topics and build an updated Drake Equation estimate together, using current NASA and ESA results, with ranges that will not haunt your dreams too much.

First night guest segment: rocket scientist Jared Head will explain what a spacecraft behaves like, and what we should look for if we want to identify an alien one. We will compare that to how object move naturally through space.

Second night guest segment: astronomers Laura-May Abron and Dr. Bryce Bolin, who have published on 3I/ATLAS, join us for a live interview about big-telescope observing and what the data show.

VIP option: Exclusive VIP Post-Show Lounge and Q&A after Part 2, limited to 12 guests. Every VIP gets at least one question, replays are included, and you receive a genuine meteorite that fell from space.

What this is:
A clear, entertaining look at claims about alien probes and interstellar visitors. We separate physics from fan fiction and show how real evidence is gathered and tested.

Led by: Dr. David Reitzel (astrophysicist and science communicator, host of All Space Considered at Griffith Observatory, personal capacity, no institutional affiliation implied).

Guests:
Night 1 special guest: rocket scientist Jared Head.
Night 2 invited guests: Dr. Bryce Bolin (Eureka Scientific) and Laura-May Abron (astronomer, artist, and science communicator).

You will learn
• How hyperbolic flybys work, and why some objects are not bound to the Sun
• What we actually measured for 1I/ʻOumuamua and 2I/Borisov
• What 3I/ATLAS looks like in the data, and what that means
• How to evaluate big claims when the signals are small
• Live demo with NASA tools

Schedule
Night 1, Thu Oct 23, 8:00 to 9:15 PM PT: Solar system basics, conic sections, 1I and 2I, what changed in our understanding, special guest Jared Head.
Night 2, Thu Oct 30, 8:00 to 9:15 PM PT: 3I/ATLAS status, what is odd vs what is noise, interview with Dr. Bryce Bolin and Laura-May Abron.

VIP tickets include admission to both nights, the VIP Lounge after Night 2, all replays, and a real meteorite. Limited to 12.
