“Implementation & Maintenance: Introducing Goodman’s Theory of Art & Architecture” (Anlamın İnşası: Goodman’ın Sanat ve Mimarlık Kuramına Giriş) başlıklı bu özel konferans, sanat ve mimarlık disiplinleri arasında anlam, temsil ve yorumlama ilişkilerine Goodman’ın kuramsal çerçevesi üzerinden yeni bakış açıları sunacak.

Felsefe, estetik ve çağdaş düşünceyi bir araya getiren çalışmalarıyla öne çıkan Alexis Anne-Braun’un konuşması, araştırmacılar, öğrenciler ve tasarımcılar için ilham verici bir tartışma ortamı yaratmayı amaçlıyor.

Hosted by Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, we are pleased to welcome contemporary French philosopher and researcher in aesthetics and philosophy of language, Dr. Alexis Anne-Braun, with Prof. Dr. Ufuk Doğrusöz as moderator.

This special lecture titled “Implementation & Maintenance: Introducing Goodman’s Theory of Art & Architecture” will offer new perspectives on the relationships between meaning, representation, and interpretation across the disciplines of art and architecture, through the theoretical framework of Goodman.

With her work bringing together philosophy, aesthetics, and contemporary thought, Alexis Anne-Braun’s talk aims to create an inspiring environment of discussion for researchers, students, and designers.

Alexis Anne Braun

Alexis Anne-Braun is a researcher and speaker working at the intersection of contemporary thought, aesthetic theory, and the relationship between art and architecture. Her work focuses particularly on the formation of meaning, modes of representation, and interdisciplinary methods of interpretation.

Known for her approach that bridges philosophy, aesthetics, and architectural theory, Anne-Braun has delivered talks at various international institutions and contributed to critical discourse through her publications. Her research opens discussions on how conceptual frameworks within art, architecture, and cultural production are constructed and sustained.

In addition to her academic work, she reaches a wide audience through seminars and lectures aimed at students, researchers, and designers working in the fields of art and architecture.
