Cordova Harbor

Cordova Harbor has recent completed a major renovation. It is a well managed and modern harbor with all of the amenities you'll need for an enjoyable weekend stay. The Harbormaster is graciously going to try and keep our group together in the heart of the harbor. Moorage is $1.10/ft per day. Shore power is an additional $16/day. Moorage is not included in the registration fee. All fees for moorage will be paid directly to the harbormaster. Depending on our numbers we may need to slot two boats in to some larger slips to accommodate everyone.

Optional Pre-Rondy Flotillar from Whittier departing Wednesday.

It's 92nm (100 statutory miles) to Cordova from Whittier by the most direct route. We will have an informal flotilla to make the trip a little more fun and to support anyone who may be making the trip for the first time. The plan is to meet up in Landlocked Bay on Wednesday afternoon. Landlocked Bay is a lovely Anchorage just east of Tatitlek. The inner lagoon at the head of the bay is well protected and has lot's of room. There is an amazing black sand beach that is unlike anything else in PWS. In the afternoon we will have an optional beach clean up work party as a way to give back to our Alaskan boating community. We will have a bonfire on the black sand beach in evening.

Landlocked Bay is 65nm from Whittier. It will be another 45nm to get to Cordova on Thursday. There will be plenty of time to get settled in the Cordova Harbor before our opening night festivities on Thursday night.

Halibut Derby

The waters around Cordova are known to produce lunkers. Largest flatfish caught over the pre-Rondy days of Wednesday and Thursday we wil win a prize awarded at our final banquet.
