Alameda Monarch (Almost) 5K

Come join us for the Alameda Monarch (Almost) 5K! Lace up your walking shoes and join us at NE 23rd Avenue & NE Fremont Street. This FREE family event is perfect for everyone. Gather your friends, family, and even your furry companions as we explore the beautiful Alameda neighborhood. Our walk will begin and end in the parking lot of Garden Fever, where local artists Amy Daileda, J Wirtheim of Victory Gardens of Tomorrow, and Max of Flat Tire Creations will be selling their nature-inspired art. "Butterfly Lady" Ida Galash will be there, educating us about Monarch butterflies, about our neighborhood Monarch habitat, and how to make our very own Monarch habitat at home. Everyone is welcome!

Volunteers to help with registration and along the route are needed! Please email alamedanewsletter@gmail.com if you are available. Volunteers check in at NE 23rd and NE Fremont at 8:30 and will be finished by noon. Free event t-shirts will be available to volunteers, and first-come first-served to participants who fill out waivers!
